Gabriel Delta & Hurricanes... show is very powerful: Blues is mixed
with Latin rhythm, funky, swing, jump and R&B, so that their very
exciting show becomes a real party. The universality of the Blues is
thus proven: Gabriel uses the Blues as a language to communicate in
the world of music, either writing his own songs, which he sings in
Spanish or English, or providing original versions of old chestnuts.
When Gabriel plays acoustically, he is closer to the origins and roots
of this music. Open tunings, slide guitars and finger-picking style
make for a highly intensive and emotional concert. At present, Gabriel is testimonial of the workshop of the stringed instrument maker "Graal", who made a guitar bearing his name. His music has been performed and appreciated all over the world including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba,Canada, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and the U.S.A, thus showing great interest towards his music and considering him one of the few current representatives of Latin American blues. Gabriel Delta & The Hurricanes have shared the stage with great artists, such as B. B. King, Tony Coleman, Otis Grand, Chris Duarte, The Blues Brothers Band, Kenny Neal, Sugar Blue, Roy Rodgers, Watermelon Slim, Bill Perry, Taj Mahal, etc., and had a great success from both the audience and the critics. |
